Czarni Słupsk is a powerful brand with strong ties with the city. Among Polish basketball and boxing fans, the club is well-known for their ambitious approach to the game. They challenge even the most demanding of rivals. Since its very beginnings, Rio Creativo has always supported basketball in Słupsk. For this reason, it was natural for us to engage in creating the brand of STK Czarni Słupsk. We have done many projects for Czarni and we approached each and every one of them with tremendous excitement. This one, however, was particularly important to us, because we were faced with the task of presenting the 18-year-long history of the club, with all its twists and turns, in the form of a new visual identity. Rio Creativo lives by the rhythm of a basketball show. It was thanks to the Słupsk team and meetings in the Gryfia hall that we fell in love with basketball. The moment basketball disappeared from our city, we felt a gaping void. Today it’s back, and we couldn’t be prouder of our contribution in restoring it to its rightful place.
Confidence and classic design
The new identity – CZARNI IS YOU – stems from pictures and emotions well-known to us: from the moments on the court, fans full of passion, their red, cheering energy, the movement in basketball, its tradition in Słupsk, the first crests and, of course, the name „Czarni”, which encompasses it all. The new logo is classic and symbolises the club’s aspiration towards achieving particular goals. The goal of the new identity is to strengthen the club, resonate with the surrounding environment. It’s worth emphasising that „Czarni Is You” is not only about sport, basketball – from children’s team to the 1st League, victories and defeats, but, first and foremost, it’s about the community around it and numerous fascinating fan stories intertwined with the team.
“We are glad that Rio Creativo agency became one of our partners. They are professionals, so we entrusted them with the task of our new visual identity with no hesitation. They convinced us with their love for basketball, but most importantly, with the top quality of their works. I am positive that in this respect Czarni Słupsk will still remain in the big league of Poland.” – says Michał Jankowski, the President of STK Czarni.
